Housing Constructions with Metallic Containers

One of the most impressive experiments in the alternative use of containers began to take shape in 2005, in amsterdam, In Holland. Student residences in metal boxes stacked up to seven stories form a complex known as Keetwonen.

The company responsible for the project, a TempoHousing, claims to be the largest container city in the world. Initially, the project would stay in the place where it is installed for just five years, but the deadline should be extended to 2016.

The project was so successful that the company now builds hotels, hospitals for the Salvation Army, changing rooms for employees of large companies.

A TempoHousing, although, manufactures new containers, unlike other companies, that reuse containers that would be abandoned after use.
