The GPSim (Simplified Project Management) is a practical tool for managing small projects, built on an electronic spreadsheet with resources that cover the nine areas of knowledge of the PMBoK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) through synthesizing processes, always taking into account its applicability in small projects, focusing on helping area managers to use and take PMI's good practices to the day-to-day activities of companies in a simple and practical way. With PMBoK concepts subtly inserted in all GPSim folders, the projects managed by her remain in accordance with PMBoK good practices, even without the user having advanced knowledge about them, reinforcing the proposal to create a tool that adheres to the day-to-day activities of the area manager, who ends up having to manage projects in the midst of so many other routine activities.
Created purposely in spreadsheet, due to being a resource known practically by all managers, It can be operated almost intuitively by anyone who has a minimum knowledge of electronic spreadsheets.. GPSim was built, evaluated and presented in the MBA in Project Management course, lato sensu graduate, from Fundação Getulio Vargas as a partial requirement for obtaining the Degree of Specialist in Project Management by students Itamarcio Peixoto and Rafael Castoldi, being previously presented and discussed with some managers of areas identified as potential users and applied in real projects, as well as simulations to test the functionalities, resulting in the positive rating and recommendation by the users who tested it.
