As expected, what's new for SOLIDWORKS 2023 were presented at the 3DEXPERIENCE World conference. It is clear from the online presentation that SOLIDWORKS 2023 will support Windows 11 and surprise with high computational power.
High computing power when opening reports
At the beginning of the lecture, the opening of a major resolved report was filed in record time.
in the previous version, the report was opened in 38 seconds, in the version 2023 the time was almost half (20 seconds). The new enhancement combines a resolved and simplified component view.
Selective export of assembly components to STEP format
If you need to export an assembly to STEP format, o SOLIDWORKS 2023 allows you to automatically create separate STEP files for each component.
Support for displaying transparent components in drawings
Transparent display of components will be supported in assemblies. In previous versions, display of components was supported only with hidden edges visible mode active or components were hidden (the hidden border display style has been removed).
BOM
in the BOM, you can easily identify manually edited cells according to the blue text.
If you manually edit cells, you can restore the default values.
Use new filter tools to group the BOM.
Settings
Improved configuration features were introduced on the water-cooled jacket. Settings are generally used for models with the same geometric structure, but different size or small change in design. In the new version of SOLIDWORKS 2023, settings will also be supported when copying instances using Linear Array command. The example shows the sleeve length setting and the associated number of process channel instances or the ability to skip the pattern.
